Daily carbon and nitrogen uptake rate of phytoplankton in the Ross Sea (February 2023)

Field surveys were conducted at six stations (Stns. 85, 90, 92, 100, 107, 113) during austral summer in the Ross Sea (2-7 February 2023). The objectives of this study are as follow: (i) to investigate carbon and nitrogen uptake rates of phytoplankton using 13C and 15N labeled tracers and (ii) to estimate the contribution of picophytoplankton to the total carbon and nitrogen values.
