Concentrations of atmospheric NOx: August 2012 Northwestern Pacific Transect
Atmospheric NOx in the marine boundary layer was monitored from September 12 to September 24 by the CraNOxⅡ NOx analyzer along the cruise track of R/V Araon from Nome(Alaska) to Incheon carrying out a series expeditions in the Northwestern Pacific. Atmospheric NOx is an important molecule in the atmospheric chemical aspects, because it is involved in the tropospheric ozone chemistry. Also continuous measurements of it enable us to estimate the impacts of NOx emitted mainly by human activities on the relative unpolluted air.
