Eddy covariance data at DASAN Station in 2013
Turbulent fluxes of momentum, heat, water vapor, and CO₂ were measured in 2013 at the Arctic DASAN Station in Ny-Ålesund, Svalbard. An eddy covariance system consisting of a 3-D sonic anemometer (u, v, w, and Ts) and an open-path infrared gas analyzer (IRGA; H₂O and CO₂ density) was used for the measurements. A measurement and control data logger (CR3000, Campbell Scientific, Inc.) was used to record the raw data at a sampling rate of 10 Hz. The processed data cover the period from May 24, 2013, 00:30 UTC to January 1, 2014, 00:00 UTC and are provided at 30-minute intervals. The dataset includes sensible heat flux (Hs, W m⁻²), momentum flux (tau, kg m⁻¹ s⁻²), and friction velocity (u_star, m s⁻¹). The measurements were conducted to monitor and understand energy, water, and greenhouse-gas fluxes at the DASAN Station.
