2004 Sediment Core, Antarctica

Korean Antarctic survey was conducted in the Powell Basin (V region) of the northern Weddell Sea. The research period was from 25 Nov. to 9 Dec. (15 days) in 2004. We took on lease Russian R/V "Yuzhmorgeologiya" (5500 ton, ice strengthed vessel) and 12 researchers participated in the cruise, including acquisition of multichannel seismic as well as a detailed samplings (box cores, gravity cores, and grab samples). 1.
