Dissolved copper concentrations, speciation, and associated environmental data from the western Arctic Ocean during the ARA13B cruise (2022)
This dataset was acquired during the ARA13B cruise in the western Arctic Ocean from 23 July to 15 August 2022 to investigate dissolved copper (Cu) concentrations and speciation in relation to physicochemical and biological conditions. It contains discrete seawater data from 12 stations, organized into two worksheets. The physicochemical data include sampling metadata, potential temperature, salinity, nitrate plus nitrite, phosphate, N*, oxygen isotope composition (δ¹⁸O), river water, sea ice meltwater, and seawater fractions, dissolved Cu concentrations, Cu-binding ligand concentrations and stability constants, and free Cu²⁺ concentrations. The biological data include sampling metadata, total chlorophyll-a concentrations and heterotrophic bacterial abundances.
