Concentrations of atmospheric NOx: July 2012 Northwestern Pacific Transect

Atmospheric NOx in the marine boundary layer was monitored from July 14 to July 29 by the CraNOxⅡ NOx analyzer along the cruise track of R/V Araon from Incheon to Nome(Alaska) carrying out a series expeditions in the Northwestern Pacific. Atmospheric NOx is an important molecule in the atmospheric chemical aspects, because it is involved in the tropospheric ozone chemistry. Also continuous measurements of it enable us to estimate the impacts of NOx emitted mainly by human activities on the relative unpolluted air.
