Monitoring on the marine environment and phytoplankton of Kongsfjorden, Svalbard, 2003

To recognize glaciomarine characteristics and distribution of phytoplankton at Kongsfjorden, Svalbard Islands, Norway, water column characteristics (temperature, salinity, and Chl a concentration) was measured using YSI 6920 CTD and water samples at the surface was obtained in summer. Due to glacier melting and fluvial fresh water, at the upper surface (3.0 ℃ was occupied below 30 m with fresh upper surface water.
