Long-term Observation of current, temperature, salinity profile using moored system in Little American Basin, Ross Sea(2023-2025)
In order to understand the role of CDW (Circumpolar Deep Water) in controlling the hydrodynamics and related biochemical processes on the continental shelf of the Ross Sea, 4 moored lines along with CTD sensors, current profilers for the long-term observation were deployed at 4 different positions in Little American Basin to entrance of continetal shelf during 2022-23 Antarctic Cruise(ANA13B). Series of salinity-conductivity probes and acoustic doppler current profilers(ADCPs) were attached to each line depending on the depth and location. Those moorings were recovered during 2024-25 Anatarcic Cruise(ANA15B) in January, 2025, successfully. Recovered data covered approximately 2 years period(Feb 2023 - Jan. 2025).
