Iceberg-driven constraints on colony–foraging connectivity result in severe decline in chick counts for the Coulman Island emperor penguin colony

The datasets were compiled to investigate the potential effects of iceberg presence on emperor penguin breeding performance and colony–foraging connectivity at Coulman Island. They include annual chick count records representing breeding productivity and remotely sensed iceberg elevation measurements characterizing iceberg morphology and freeboard. Together, these datasets enable the assessment of temporal changes in reproductive output in relation to physical environmental conditions and potential movement constraints imposed by large icebergs in the colony's surrounding habitat.
