Snow densities and temperature profiles and ice temperature profiles at four sea ice stations (snow on fast ice in front of Thwaites Eastern Ice Shelf) and one ice shelf station (snow/firn on Dotson Ice Shelf) , 2024
Snow densities and temperature profiles from snow pits dug at four sea ice stations (snow on fast ice in front of Thwaites Eastern Ice Shelf) and one ice shelf station (snow/firn on Dotson Ice Shelf) were measured during the ANA14B cruise. A 4 m firn core was collected on Dotson Ice Shelf, and 16 ice cores (each approx. 1 m in length) were taken at SEAICE1, SEAICE2, and SEAICE3 (same location, different days, different sea ice conditions). The cores are still to be analyzed for fatty acids and isotopes.
