ApRES (Autonomous phase-sensitive Radio Echo Sounder) data in Thwaites Glacier and Dotson Ice Shelf recovered in 2024

ApRES (Autonomous phase-sensitive Radar Echo Sounder) measures the radar reflection signal from the internal and basal interface of ice shelf. The radar return signals are used to estimate the basal melt rate under ice shelves. In early 2024, we recovered the raw data from 2 stations near the grounding line of Thwaites Ice Tongue, 1 station on the pining point of Thwaites Eastern Ice Shelf, and 1 station on the Dotson Ice Shelf.
