Seismic data (ARA04C-10, ARA05C-03,-06,-07,-17) for modelling the base of submarine permafrost in the Canadian Beaufort Sea from the depth of the gas hydrate stability zone
Multichannel seismic (MCS) data were acquired on the outer continental shelf of the Canadian Beaufort Sea during expeditions ARA04C (2013) and ARA05C (2014). These seismic lines are used to model the base of submarine permafrost based on the depth of the seismically detected base of the gas hydrate stability zone (BGHSZ). This repository contains processed MCS lines ARA04C-10 and ARA05C-03, -06, -07, -17 as well as a Matlab code used for modelling the base of permafrost from the depth of the BGHSZ. The modelling process is illustrated using these MCS lines. All MCS lines are available as conventional amplitude data. In addition, lines 05-03, -07 and -17 are provided as diffraction strength – the squared envelope of diffractions that were separated beforehand – with and without multiple attenuation processing applied.
