Functional annotation of Deschampsia antarctica genome

Deschampsia antarctica É. Desv., the only indigenous grass species in the Antarctic Peninsula and the surrounding islands, has garnered significant garnered significant scientific attention due to its remarkable adaptations to the extreme polar environment. Given the importance of genomic adaptation in plants, particularly in extremophiles like D. antarctica, genome analysis and annotation is crucial for understanding its evolutionary significance and potential adaptive mechanisms. We conducted a comprehensive analysis to annotate D. antarctica genome and finally report the list of genes and its functional annotation.
