2002 Sediment Core, Antarctica

Korean Antarctic survey was conducted in the Powell Basin (III region) of the northern Weddell Sea. The research period was from 16 Dec. to 23 Dec. (8 days) in 2002. We took on lease Russian R/V "Yuzhmorgeologiya" (5500 ton, ice strengthed vessel) and 7 researchers participated in the cruise, including acquisition of multichannel seismic as well as a detailed samplings (box cores, gravity cores, and grab samples). 1.
