Distributions and diversities of viruses and bacteria in the Larsen A in the Anatarctic Weddell Sea

The collapse of the Larsen A Ice Shelve at the eastern coast of the Antarctic Peninsula occurred in 1995. However, no information is available on the spatial distributions of abundances and compositions of viruses and bacteria in the Larsen A area. During the NBP cruise from March 11 to April 19 in 2012, we collected seawater samples for microbial ecology at 7 stations in the study area. For the first time, we will provide the data on the distributions and compositions for marine microbes in the Lasen A area. To investigate distributions and diversities of viruses and bacteria in Larsen A in the Weddell Sea
