Oceanic ensemble reanalysis
The dataset is produced from ocean-sea ice weakly coupled data assimilation system. Ocean model is POP2 and its data assimilation system (DeepDA) is based on deep learning methods. Sea-ice model is CICE5 and its data assimilation system (DART) is based on ensemble adjustment Kalman filter. Atmospheric forcing is from ERA5 reanalysis data. Data assimilation cycles are run with 10 ensemble members and 1-degree horizontal resolution. Ocean temperature and salinity profiles are assimilated for the ocean model, and sea-ice concentration and thickness satellite retrievals are assimilated for the sea-ice model. The dataset will cover a period of 1996-2025. This dataset can be used for ocean and sea-ice initial conditions.
