2006 Sediment Core, Antarctica

Korean Antarctic survey was conducted in the northern region off South Shetland Islands. The research period was from 5 Dec. to 12 Dec. (8 days) in 2006. We took on lease Russian R/V "Yuzhmorgeologiya" (5500 ton, ice strengthed vessel) and 8 researchers participated in the cruise, including acquisition of multichannel seismic as well as a detailed samplings (box cores, gravity cores, and grab samples). 1.
