Migrated seismic data, seismic velocity models, gas hydrate saturation model, and free gas saturation model, and 3D heat flow model to investigate the characteristic of the gas hydrate in the Mackenzie Trough, Canadian Beaufort sea
A multichannel seismic survey was conducted in the Mackenzie Trough of the Canadian Beaufort Sea to investigate the characteristics and distribution of gas hydrate-related bottom-simulating reflectors (BSRs). Here, we present three final migrated seismic profiles (BF09, BF10, and BF12). A seismic velocity model was developed using iterative migration velocity analysis (IMVA), alongside a saturation model for gas hydrate and free gas based on effective medium theory (EMT). The comprehensive dataset provided includes both raw and migrated seismic data in standard SEG-Y format, as well as XCTD data. Furthermore, all input datasets, simulation results, and source codes for the three-dimensional heat-flow modeling—conducted using the Julia-based Gridap finite element library—are available as supplementary materials.
