SB171122-3B (rock sampling)

Sample SB171122-3B is a folded migmatitic gneiss in Mt. Murchison. Metamorphic age (SHRIMP U-Pb zircon) of this sample is confirmed as 503 ± 26 Ma and 502 ± 9 Ma. A combined age with other sample's data within same outcrop yields a metamorphic age of 498.3 ± 3.4 Ma. SHRIMP U-Pb titanite age 467 ± 6 Ma of this sample indicates its metamorphic cooling age.
