Sample SB171122-3A is a fine-grained granitic rock within migmatitic gneiss of Mt. Murchison. Since the formation age (SHRIMP U-Pb zircon) of this sample is confirmed as 495 ± 4 Ma, metamorphic (migmatization) age of the Mt. Murchison migmatitic gneiss could be synchronous with this age. Combined three samples' data within same outcrop yield a metamorphic age of 498.3 ± 3.4 Ma.
